AC Plug Connectors for Photovoltaic Systems

Phoenix Contact has extended its Sunclix family of Connectors for Photovoltaic Systems to include AC plug connectors. This means, for the first time ever, that three-core AC cables with conductor cross-sections of between 2.5 and 6 mm² can be connected to solar inverters in a user-friendly fashion without requiring any tools. The connectors are designed for voltages up to 300 V and currents up to 25 A and offer IP68 protection. Both flexible and rigid conductors can be connected. For safety reasons, the connectors can only be separated using a tool and can be provided with a security seal. The AC plug connectors are certified according to DIN EN 61984 and can be used as defined by the DIN EN 62109-1 inverter standard.
