Electrical Panels & Control Centres

Encon Engineers is a manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of electrical panels and control centres. This includes: generator control panels; instrument control panels; motor control centres [MCC]; power control centres [PCC]; electrical control centres [ECC]; automatic power factor control panels [APFCP]; process control panels; control desks/controls; distribution boards; PLC/AC-DC drives; feeder pillars; and bus ducts. The company has well-established in-house facilities for fabrication, powder coating/liquid coating, assembling, welding and final pre-dispatch testing. The products are designed after detailed discussion with clients and consultants. Each and every panel is designed to meet the specific requirement of the customers, at the same time meeting IS/BS specifications. The following are salient points are observed: adequate cubic space for each and every component; tropical/sub-tropical conditions and humidity are main considerations in designing a cubicle; space heaters, ventilators, louvers and exhaust fans are provided; height, depth and length are worked out depending upon the size of switchgears and the maintenance point of view; and main auxiliary and vertical bus-bars are designed to withstand 50 kA short circuit breaking capacity. Liberal cable spaces are provided for termination of cables. All matching surfaces are gasketed to stop entry of dust and reptiles. The panels are duly tested for IP-55 to ensure positive dust proofing. Besides being CPRI tested for 50 kA shock circuit breaking capacity and IP-55 ingress protection, following tests are carried out: Megger test, operational test, insulation test for 2.5 KV for 1 minute and physical verification of electrical components as per order.
