Compact Step Motor Controller

The SG8030 step motor controller series incorporates position programming in a miniature package (1.89"W x 1.89"D x 4.39"H maximum) established for panel mounting and DIN rail mounting. The controller is capable of programming and storing the position data for four moves. When the start command is supplied by an external controller, the controller executes positioning operations sequentially from the first data programmed movement. Each time the start signal is given, the four moves are repeated. The SG8030D controller also stores up to four moves with a specific set of commands representing each move. Any of up to four moves can be commanded in any order. The four operating modes resident in both the SG8030S and SG8030D controllers are: positioning (IND), return to mechanical home (HOME), continuous running mode (SCAN) and single pulse (JOG). Positioning control commands include: number of pulses per index move-1 to 99,000 pulses, operating or continuous pulse speed-100 to 30,000 Hz, accelerating/decelerating rates-10 to 100 ms/kHz and start speed (pull in rate)-100 to 1,000 Hz. Controller input requirements are 24 volts DC ?1.2 volts DC and 100 milliamperes maximum. Both the SG8030S sequentially positioning and the SG8030D data selective positioning controller can be supplied in DIN rail mounting (-D) or panel (-U) configurations.
