Aswani Engineering Company manufactures capacitors and power factor improvement capacitor panels. The capacitors manufactured are for LT application and are manufactured using paper and polypropylene or only polypropylene as dielectric. These capacitors are impregnated with oil. The range extends from 10 k VAR to 25 k VAR, thereafter the capacitors are banked together as per customer requirements. The power factor improvement capacitor panels are designed and manufactured as per customer requirements using very sophisticated electronic digital or analogue relays which senses the actual power factor at any point of time and compares it with the required power factor; it automatically cuts in and cuts out the capacitors by sensing the error. A maximum of 16 stages per relay are possible. More sophisticated relays capable of sensing and providing alarm signals for dangerous levels of harmonics, resonance temperatures and capacitance drop can also be provided.
