Enclosure System

Rittal ensures efficient solutions "from a single source": in power distribution, automation, building installation and IT infrastructure. The basis of the system architecture is the TS 8 enclosure system and IT rack system platform with its comprehensive modular range of accessories. Users benefit from the advantages of the platform concept – such as high flexibility, easy and fast installation, low storage requirements, rapid availability and high quality. In terms of enclosure technology, Rittal is presenting the latest solutions for the human-machine interface, including the CP-C support arm system with its improved design and functions. The system platform allows significant support for the increasing convergence of IT and automation. Yet Rittal goes far beyond mechanical solutions and is also exhibiting, for example, modular power solutions and energy efficient climate control technology. Examples are the PMC 40 UPS system, which is ideal for industrial use, the type-tested Ri4Power switchgear system, and the Cool Efficiency series of cooling units, which permits energy cost savings of up to 45 percent. The company is also showing what efficient engineering can make possible. Enormous savings in the plant and machinery planning process arise from the CAD data available free-of-charge from the RiCAD 3D component library for rapid mechanical planning. In addition, software solutions such as Rittal Power Engineering (new version 4.1) support the fast and safe installation of power distribution, while Rittal Therm (new version 6.0) aids the energy-efficient dimensioning of cooling technology. To gain a greater overall view of engineering processes in enclosure system technology – from the mechanics, through electrical engineering and up to automation – Rittal has increasingly interlinked its previously autonomous engineering tools with Eplan Cabinet and the Eplan Engineering Centre in order to create comprehensive solutions. This way, various types of engineering data can be employed in all phases of product and system design and with all the benefits of a consistent data concept.
