Mahindra Composites Limited offers a range of Distribution and Meter Boxes used for connection through overhead ABC line and for giving connections to the consumers. These distribution/meter boxes are installed at the poles and have anti-corrosive, dust proof, rust proof, shock proof, vermin proof and flame retardant properties. Base door or other joints do not bend, soften on heating and are endowed with tamper proof construction. The material of box withstands temperature rise, hot spot temperature and occasional arcing of bus bar system. The box is made out of thermosetting plastic called glass fibre reinforced polyester sheet moulding compound (SMC) as per IS: 13410-1992 having properties as required. Benefits: excellent insulating property, heat resistance, weather ability; no toxic emission in the event of fire, halogen free material; best protection against fire, dust and water; free from rusting, maintenance, denting, splitting; good resistance to thermal shocks and corrosive atmosphere; specially designed concealed hinges, suitable locking facility and lids that make them free from tampering and pilferage; available in different dimensions with quality best in the industry; no resale value-cannot be sold in open market; available as per users colour preference in grey/off white; and SMC material as per IS: 13410; IP 54 and IP 33 certified.
