NAG FASTMAN (High Speed Steel) Taps are available in three different styles which can be used individually or in combinations depending on the application; They are: Roughing Taps - Provides full diameter thread and has 5 taper leads, Finishing (Plug) Taps - Provides full diameter thread and has 3½ taper leads. Finishing taps are the most commonly used taps for tapping through holes, Bottoming Taps - Provides full diameter thread to the bottom of blind holes since tap has only 1½ lead threads.
