Torx Screws

A range of ISO metric coarse pan/csk head machine TORX screws are offered by Kundan Industries. They are manufactured as per BS-4183 & 3643 from low carbon, mild steel. They are zinc plated clear passivalued and are also produced in stainless steel. Originally developed for critical applications the TORX system is hexlobular and has a 15 drive angle (close to the optimum torque transmission angle of efficient gear systems) and parallel sides, which hold the driver captive, making assembly operations easier and virtually eliminating slippage, camout and stress raisers experienced with slotted, cruciform and hexagonal drive systems. This ensures that the fastener can be safely tightened to its maximum torque level without damaging the recess or driver used or requiring excessive end load. Main advantages: * Torque transmitted positively and accurately. * Large contact area reduces wear. * High torque benefits; vibration resistance and allows use of smaller fasteners. * Positives driver captivity.
