Springs

American Variseal offers helical ribbon, cantilever beam and slantcoil springs for a variety of applications. The helical spring applies a high unit load making it useful for many static face seals or slow speed reciprocating applications. The cantilever beam spring is for high speed reciprocating applications or for moderately fast rotary applications, involving cryogenics or gas tight sealing. The slantcoil spring for rotary as well as reciprocating applications has a spring force that is virtually constant over a wide range of deflection. This spring automatically compensates for normal tolerances in the gland and for wear.
