Dowel Pins

Vinod Trading Co offers a range of Dowel Pins. These are cylindrical in shape, and installed with a “press fit” into reamed holes to assure tightness of the assembly. These find applications in holding laminated sections together, in fastening of machine parts as a hinge or wrist pins, and are available in unhardened (soft), hardened and case hardened condition. “Unhardened” dowel pins are manufactured from C-40/EN-8 and as per IS-2393/DIN-7, which has m6 tolerance on diameter and hardness RC 16 to RC 21. “Hardened” dowel pins are manufactured from high carbon steel (silver steel) with minimum tensile strength 600 MN/m² and as per IS-6689/DIN-6325, which has m6 tolerance on diameter and hardness RC 58/62. “Case Hardened” dowel pins are manufactured from MS and which has case hardness RC 58/62 and the core is soft. The company has various sizes readily available. It is important to specify nominal diameter and length.
