Ring type joints

Precision solid metal gaskets are used where pressures and temperature are high. A metal to metal line seal is formed which in some designs increases with media pressure. Flanges must be machined specially to accept ring type joints (RTJs). Also as deformation of the solid metal in minimal, a good standard finish is required. Most applications for this gasket are within the petroleum industry both on and offshore. These are normally available as standard in R Series oval and octagonal, for use in 10,000 PSI. Series BX and RX are available for pressures to 15,000 PSI. Special sections and sizes can be made on request. Typical applications: high pressure piping, oil drilling and production equipment, pressure vessels, valves, etc.
