Quick Release Couplings

Faster Hydraulics is a joint venture of Universal Flexibles and Faster SpA, Italy, a company with over 50 years experience and thirty different product lines available in over 3,000 versions. This Italian company has designed, manufactured and sold over 50 million quick-release couplings (QRCs) worldwide for applications at medium, high and very high pressures for building and construction, agriculture, air conditioning and refrigeration and various industrial applications. These high performance couplings are cost effective and innovative technological solutions for problems and criticalities typical of hydraulics industry. The challenges faced vary from the presence of dust and dirt particles in surroundings, pressure impulses at high frequency, possibility to connect under high residual pressure, environmental concern on oil spillage, etc. These quick-release couplings are worldwide interchangeable according to ISO 16028 standards. Flat Face Series couplings have been extensively used in applications where oil spillage is not permitted during connection and disconnection and couplings have to be used in dirty and dusty conditions. Other types include: Standard Series couplings that address a very wide range of connection needs; and Screw-on Series that are suitable for heavy-duty applications of pressure impulses, flow peaks, vibrations and need for connecting under pressure. It guarantees a greater contact surface between the couplings, thus giving high resistance against pressure peaks, bending stress and vibrations.
