Sanro1 offers a range of Quick Disconnect Couplings. In every industry, various types of fluids are being used for various applications, and it becomes necessary to couple or uncouple a line at least once or twice in a week. Instead of adopting any conventional method usage of Quick Disconnect Couplings is the ideal choice. These are used to quickly and easily connect a flexible hose or a rigid connection. These are designed for connecting/disconnecting by hand on any fluid without interrupting the main line. In a majority of quick couplings self shut off valves are provided in the couplings itself eliminating the need to have any separate valves. The process is simple: to connect – simply pull back the sleeve and push the adopter in to the coupler; and to disconnect – just pull back the sleeve the coupler and adopter gets separated. Advantages over permanent connections: greater safety by automatic shut-off; minimises down time; permits rapid changeover; reduces time for connections; and speeds line change over. Guide lines for selection of the couplings, points to consider: function or need; type of coupling; series; flow characteristics; medium; pipe and thread size; pressure requirements; materials; seal; and end connections for coupler and adopter separately. Tips for better performance of the couplings: use only with the recommended media; be sure to choose the appropriate type packing materials for the application; keep the coupler always clean and free of dust by installing suitable dust caps/dust plugs when not in use; use a filter for fluid and air as foreign materials may damage the couplers; be sure that the thread tapes scraps do not enter the line; and do not over tighten the fittings as the threads may be damaged.
