Quick Couplings

Hyd-Air quick disconnect couplings provide instant assembly or disassembly of fluidfilled lines. Connection or disconnection automatically actuates valves to release or interrupt the flow, respectively. The valves do not depend on the line pressure to seal either end and are suitably designed to practically eliminate spilling of liquid or escape of gas during assembly. Spring actuated poppets with soft seats in both plug and socket ensure fluid-tight seals when disconnected. Assembly is done by displacing the outer sleeve of the female socket in the direction connection and vice versa, a special feature allowing single-hand operation. The couplings are available in sizes from 6.35 mm to 38.1 mm in cadmium plated steel and in stainless steel for pressures up to 350 kg/cm2 and temperatures from -30? to +100?C for nitrile and from -30? to +150?C for Viton seals.
