Precision Couplings, World Class

PG Electronics offers a world class range of Precision Couplings. Popularly accepted by European market since last more than ten years, these couplings are now available from makers of shaft encoders in India. These precision flexible couplings transmit position and speed accurately over a wide range. Working as a flexible link between drives and rotary instruments like shaft encoders, they accommodate certain amount of angular and lateral misalignment, yet maintain good torsional stiffness. The couplings meant for shaft sizes between 4 mm to 16 mm have guaranteed bore tolerances with clamp tightening feature. This ensures excellent concentricity against the commonly used grub tightening method. Couplings specially designed for encoder application, heavy-duty use are also available. With standard bore sizes of Metric and British standards they are available in spiral (PSK…) and straight dlit (PPK….) versions. PSK… type offers more flexibility while PPK…. type gives higher torsional stiffness. Made from special aluminium alloy they are light weight yet strong enough to drive the rotary instruments at speed of 10000 rpm or even above accurately. Mostly used for shaft encodes, potentiometers and similar position and speed transducers, they serve as safety links for the precision rotary transducers and drives.
