The product quality is certified by EN ISO-9001: 2000 – Germany. This is a device which locks the shaft with the hub for further manufacturing activity. These are meant for highly stressed shaft-hub connections. This was earlier done by the age old key-way system of locking. The internal locking assembly, consisting of internally slotted bush and externally slotted ring, is clamped together by locking screws, thus mating the shaft with the bore of the hub. It has a high degree of concentricity and easy removal by means of jacking screws. These assemblies are available in various standard ranges such as TAS-3003, TAS-3006, TAS-3012, TAS-3015 and TAS-3020, the difference in the higher ranges being larger flange of the internal bush, preventing axial movements of shaft and hub. The other higher range has high torque transmission values, then additional collar of the inner face of the external bush results in shorter fitting and removal time. The further higher range has two tapered rings, locked together by screws forcing one slotted internal and one slotted external ring against the respective shaft and the hub surfaces, matching tolerances need not be too close. Removal is simple as the cone angles prevent binding. Made to order sizes can be made available. The locking devices avoid backlash that is sometimes encountered with keyed connections. They allow generous tolerances on shafts and hubs.
