Hinge Clamp

Hinge Clamps are suitable for machining large objects whose entire surface is to be machined and kept free from obstruction. Manufactured by Unison Clamping Devices, these are suitable for milling machines, planing machines, shaping machines, lathes, etc. Hinge clamps can be used for clamping of jobs having uneven or unmachined surfaces. To help clamp the job rigidly the long base is provided with two T-nuts, thus avoiding the reduction of clamping clamping forces due to slippage. Consisting of a SG iron body, the clamping jaws are of hardened steel for better life. Side clamping keeps top surface free for machining, allowing the operation to be completed in single setting. Positive forward and downward clamping forces are obtained by the hinge action and the radial jaws assure firm gripping of the jobs. With minimum efforts maximum clamping force can be attained. This clamp is suitable for jobs more than 60 mm in height. Being powder coated, it is resistant to corrosion and rusting, and is very useful in fixture building for fast clamping and unclamping
