Flexible Gear Couplings

Linkwel Engineers offers Flexible Gear Couplings. It takes greater loads and higher power rating. Benefits: Lower maintenance, lesser down time and good production quality due to better finish, reduced chances of fatigue failure due to shaft misalignment and stress due to bearing wear, and lesser loads on bearings, providing greater bearing life. These geared couplings overcomes the following three types of misalignments: 1) Parallel offset-axes of connected shafts parallel but not in the same straight line. 2) Angular-axes of shafts intersect at centre of coupling 3) Combined Angular- Offset axes of shafts do not interest and are not parallel. Construction: These Gear Couplings provide a mechanical flexible connection between two shafts. Hubs are completely machined from Carbon Steel Forgings to close tolerance for accurate alignments and good balance. Two Puller holes are provided for removing the mounting. Outer Casings are machined from Carbon Steel Forgings/ Grade 1 Steel Casting to close tolerances. The flanged sleeves are identical and interchangeable. The Flange Sleeves are bolted by hexagonal headed machined bolts having push fit and rightened by hexagonal nuts and spring washer. The use of `O' ring for sealing of oil/ grease eliminates the necessity of dismantling the hubs from shafts during replacement/ maintenance. Applications: 1.0 Agitator (liquid) Centrifugal, Blowers, Compressors and Pumps, Stokers.
