Cubic Transmissions offers Flexible Disc Couplings. Its membranes are made up from stacks of thin laminations, so that they are flexible in bending and strong in tension and shear. It is torsionally rigid with zero backlash. Torque is transmitted through pure tension in the flexible elements. It has no wearing parts and doesn"t require lubrication. Its power transmission capacity - up to 60000 kW and speeds - up to 40000 RPM. It is ideally suited to steam and gas turbines, turbo-generators, boiler feed pumps, high-speed compressors, high speed air blowers, paper machines, etc.
