Clati Engineering Systems offers a downhold milling clamp. This is a heavy duty side holding clamping device available in 3 sizes ranging in 1.5 T, 3.0 T and 4.5 T clamping forces. Its typical dovetail slide action offers composite horizontal as well as vertically downward - forces while clamping. This not only holds the work price for clamping operations, but it ensures that there is no gap left between the bed and the bottom of the workpiece, offering full contact between the two. This is a positive action device and is most useful on planing, plano-milling and horizontal boring machines and machining centres. Due to its side holding action, the entire top surface is available free from obstacles for machining in one setting. It is also suitable in the design of jigs and fixtures to hold components for batch/mass production applications. It is suitable for use on any size of T-slotted beds with the provision of clamping elements.
