Advantages of Jaure couplings and spindles: max torque capability, higher permissible loads, high misalignment (up to 6º). Jaure also manufactures “barrel couplings” for installation in crane/hoist – lifting mechanisms, to connect the cable drum with the gear output shaft, as well as in winch conveyors and platforms hoists. Advantages of Jaure barrel couplings over gear coupling: can take high radial and axial misalignment, have less bending stress than gear couplings, hence longer life, more compact drives system, and reduces the sizing.
