Zero-Max offers Composite Disc Couplings. The working part of these couplings is made from a composite material designed to withstand wear and tear. These are used in applications that require both high reverse loads and high speeds. These couplings possess high torsional stiffness and high dynamic load capacity, whereas bellows style couplings are too brittle to withstand punishing high-speed operation and beam style couplings have low torsional stiffness specifications, which limit machine speed and accuracy. These provide excellent chemical and moisture resistance in hostile operating environments that prove difficult or impossible for elastomeric or steel disc couplings. These are available in many sizes for virtually every servo motor packaging application.
