Ahire Machine Tools offers a Combination Clamp manufactured by Andreas Maier Fellback (AMF) –Germany. AMF has developed a Comination Clamping Element which brings the workpiece into position, and then clamps it tight and secure. Users then need only a single handgrip, replacing the earlier need where two clamps and two operations were required. It positions a workpiece with a horizontal push movement, and then clamps the workpiece securely through a vertical clamping movement, onto a workpiece holder, such as a welding fixture. The combination clamp work on the toggle joint principle, with a high final reduction ratio. This ensures a great clamping force, with an assured opening self-locking with a lower effort. In the sliding link, the clamp is guided securely and precisely into position with help from the stainless steel rivets, that glide in case-hardened bearing bushes.
