DLC Curvic Coupling

Amcats offers DLC Curvic Couplings that are used in turrets of CNC lathes, machining centers, robots, gas turbines, airplanes, rotary tables, etc. Features: 1. Accurate precise centring – the curvature of the teeth give these coupling their very own very unique self-centering feature. One member is ground with the outside edge of the cup type grinding wheel to form a concave-shaped tooth. The mating member is ground with the inside edge thus producing a convex-shaped tooth. Both halves of the coupling are ground to ensure that they mesh at the center of the teeth the coupling has the advantages of accurate alignment and precision centering whenever they are in mesh; 2. High indexing accuracy of ±1 sec of arc – very high accuracy is achieved because of the precision self-centering feature of the wide spread tooth contact, uniformly achieved over all the teeth; and 3. High wear resistance – igh grade case hardened steels are used to manufacture the coupling. The teeth are first cut, hardened to HRC 58 and then accurately ground. This gives a high level of durability to the precision tooth profile, which means that the coupling retains its high accuracy characteristic over a long period of use. There are two pieces and three pieces curvic coupling models available: 1. 2 PCC (2-piece curvic coupling) – simple, easy to use with division devices for normal purpose; gives an advantage of excellent inter change ability; customized manufacturing for specific purpose is available; and sizes available from 30 to 1300 mm OD; and 2. 3 PCC (3-piece curvic coupling) – index table does not need to be lifted; machining heavy works is possible; prevents chips from entering into the index table; customized manufacturing for specific purpose is available; and sizes available from 50 to 210 mm OD.
