- These generators are high speed machines with a running speed of 1500rpm/1800rpm/3000rpm/3600rpm, with specialised rotor designs to cater to large stresses induced due to high centrifugal forces.
- Indigenious technology for all generators up to 55 MW; license agreement with Siemens AG to manufacture generators in the range of 55 MW to 200MW
- Generally, steam turbine driven generators are used for base load application; these generators cater to the entire power requirement of the customer’s factory or manufacturing facility.
- Steam turbine generators are used extensively in cement, sugar, steel, paper, chemicals and other industries for thermal, geo and solar applications.
- Synchronous generators up to 200MW; voltage – 415, 3300, 6600, 11000, 13800 and 15000 volts; cylindrical/salient rotor; GVPI (global vacuum pressure impregnation); good voltage regulation /-0.5 per cent; insulation – class F; rated speed – 1500rpm /1800rpm/3000rpm/3600rpm
- Frequency – 50Hz/60 Hz; bracket mounted forced lubricated sleeve bearings, anti-friction bearings; sturdy design suitable for severe environments; totally enclosed IP 54 with water cooled air coolers (CACW)/(CACA); cooler location – top/side/bottom; termination – side/bottom/top; easy maintenance
- Dedicated jacking oil system for larger generators; applicable standards – IEC, IS and JEC; sole plate foundation; cylindrical shaft with key and key way; digital/analog AVR; geo thermal application; solar energy application
