Alternators

Leroysomer & Controls offers Alternators. Features: world class electrical performance; high efficiencies; low voltage dips; low reactances; optimised engine compatibility; coupling, inertia, ratings; excitation adapted to the customer"s needs; strong mechanical design; and compactness, strength, accessibility, modularity, low sound level, enhanced winding protection. Mounting Double/single bearing with SAE flange and SAE disc coupling arrangements are available with both B3 and B20 constructions. Enclosure rating IP 23 is the standard version, satisfying IEC 34-5/IS: 4691/DIN VDE 0530-5 requirements. Cooling method is IC 01. Standard ratings: alternators are rated for balanced non-distorting loads with PF between 0.8 and 1, ambient 40°C, 3 phase, altitude - 1000 m; at 415 V ±5%, 50 Hz and speed of 1500 RPM. Rotor balancing: all alternators are dynamically balanced as per ISO: 0940 requirements. Double bearing alternators are balanced with half key. Terminal box is located on the top of the alternator with generous space inside for easy termination of cables. Insulation and impregnation: insulation system used is Class H high-grade multilayer insulating sheets are used to insulate all the windings. They are impregnated in Class H resin under vacuum and pressure (VPI), which ensures complete penetration of resin into slot windings and overhangs. Bearings: up to frame size LSC 54 bearings are with permanent lubrication having a specified life of around 30,000 working hours. Above LSC 54 frame, re-greaseable bearings are provided. Transient ratings: transient voltage drop on application of full load at 0.8 PF is less than 20%. The output voltage recovery to ± 3% of steady state value is less than 1 sec.
