Shepherd Transformer Industries offers an Energy Conservation Unit designed and developed to make entire system more efficient and instant money saving with drastically low payback duration. Salient features: reduces lighting power consumption by 20% to 30% typically on AC + lighting load by 12% to 15% (savings are linked with supply voltage condition at site); reduce greenhouse gas emissions through a reduction in energy consumption and demand; extends the life of all luminaries approx by 200% and ballasts by 75% means further reduction in costs; simple payback on investment is generally within 6 to 10 months; no need for expensive lighting upgrades to be energy efficient; reduces overall lighting power density (watts/m2); causes no perceptible effect on light levels; and complements existing Building Management Efficiency procedures. A single unit is able to manage multiple lighting circuits. The street light model saves as high as 35% to 40% on energy bills (for street light applications). The company offers custom designed models to suit various specifications to cater to different site conditions, in wide range of capacities. The system is provided with overload, short circuit protection, indications for all functions; provided with digital true RMS meters and (optional); and energy analyser with large size digital display screen to read phase to phase voltage and current, kVA, kW, kWH, frequency, PF, kVAR, and kVAH. Optional arrangement can made for compatibility with RS 232 port and PC net work. It is suitable to work with balance/unbalance load.
