Energy Saver

Salzer Group of Companies, a leading switchgear manufacturer, offers an Energy Saver. The Salzer Energy Saver (SES) guarantees 30% reduction in energy consumption under normal working conditions. It reduces the power consumption by optimizing the voltage to the lamps. While optimizing voltage, care is taken to maintain the lux as per ISI standards.
This is achieved by the following methods:

• Automatic switching – GPS location based switching of streetlights
• Wireless monitoring and control – state-of-the-art GSM/GPRS technology is used for monitoring and controlling the street lights
• Communication module – it has a GSM/GPRS modem which communicates to the control system (micro controller)
• All the information from/ to the control system are sent to/ from the remote control station via encrypted data packets through GSM
• Control module: an intelligent micro controller analyses the data received and controls the energy saver system
• It controls switching on/off and maintains the set optimized voltage to the lamps
• Energy saver module – highly efficient toroidal transformers (>97% efficiency) are used for saving energy which is achieved by optimizing voltage at pre-defined timings.
