Wind Iris is manufactured by Avent Lidar Technology, a joint venture between US-based Renewable NRG Systems and France-based Leosphere. It measures the horizontal wind speed and direction at hub height ahead of the turbine, and generates accurate data to optimize wind turbine performance. With an easy and safe installation in half a day, one can rapidly optimise several wind turbines with one unit by detecting and correcting under-performances.
