Water Vapour Permeability Tester

Microprocessor-based fully automatic Model L80-4000 for the measurement of water vapour permeability through films, foils, whole packages and containers with its natural contents inside comes from Lyssy AG of Switzerland. It is a quick and reliable meter for packaging materials and other water-vapour barriers. It is also suitable for determination of water-vapour permeability through textiles, extremely high and low barriers. With a speicaliy designed measuring chamber, the measurement of absorption and desorption of water-vapour in whole packages and containers are performed destruction-free with maximum sensitivity and without modification of the natural content of the container. The apparatus works according to a dynamic measuring method which measures the time taken by the specimen to transfer the artificially generated water-vapours through it. It consists of an air thermostatic measuring chamber for foils and/or a water circulation thermostatic measuring chamber for whole packages. The complete operation is done via the microprocessor controlled programming and evaluation unit.
