Twist Testers

PTM offers twist testers to check the twists in a twisted yarn by untwisting it.The standard length is 50 cm. One can measure in smaller lengths also. Using the electronic twist tester, different types of yarn can be tested. Easier mounting of samples with spring loaded clamps, selection of S or Z twists, ensure that the twist variations are within the tolerance limits and help to avoid rejections due to twist variations. Electronic counter with 4-digit 9 mm-high LED display, and numerical control facility for testing piled yarn specimen length adjustable from 0 to 500 mm/0 to 20 inches, gives direct TPM reading for single yarn using untwist. Retwist method of 50 cm range length, auto stop on completion of each test, and a set of DIN Std weights are supplied. Motor operated twist tester is a fast working, single-phase 230 V AC power driven machine. It rotates both ways, ie, clockwise and anti-clockwise and a mechanical counter works simultaneously with every twist in both the directions.
