Suruga Precision Positioning Stages and Optics

Amcats offers Suruga Precision Positioning Stages and Optics.
Suruga Seiki has been developing and producing very high Precision Positioning Stages since almost 20 years. Through these years of experience and product development, they have expanded from providing excellent quality products to the optical research facilities to manufacturing various products like Integrated Positioning Systems, Optics, micro manipulator system, etc for Production/Assembly line users and Inspection and Measurement units.

Precision Positioning Stages
The Precision Stage Line-up takes care of any positioning need with products like linear stages, rotary stages, goniometry stages, etc. They are available in manual and motorized control. These stages have been designed so that they can be mounted on each other to increase the movement capabilities of the system. Some of the various configurations possible are X, Z, XY, XZ, XYZ, XYZ?, etc. The Z axis stage can be of horizontal type or bracket mounted type (vertical). The rotary stages available are the circular type (horizontal 360°), Tilt stage for vertical tilting, Inclined stage and Goniometry stage. Nano Stages with servo control are also available.

Manual Stages
With the rigid and steady gothic arch groove Ball guide, Manual stages provide great stability and reliability and have a 10 micron resolution. High resolution Stages have 2 controls – Coarse control: 10 µm Res and Fine: ± 0.5 µm. The new generation precision stages come with a slimmer design and are cost effective. Stainless steel surface ensures that corrosion doesn’t occur.

For a relatively lesser resolution Dovetail Stages can be used. They provide a 0.1mm resolution. They can’t be used for precise positioning but they are good for simple positioning. These stages are available in 2 types of feeding mechanisms – Rack and Pinion Mechanism and Feed Screw Mechanism. Feed screw mechanism gives a finer positioning than the Rack and Pinion type.

Pregio low cost high precision stage is the latest product being offered by Suruga. By making some changes in the manufacturing process, they have managed to make precision stages at a relatively lower price.

Motorized Stages
Motorized stages for the same direction components are also available. There is a choice of having cross roller guide or a linear bush guide or a linear slide guide depending on the precision level and the travel length required. For E.g., for a long stroke application, it is better to use the linear slide guide model while for better accuracy in short stroke it is better to use the cross roller guide. These stages usually have a resolution of 2 µm but some models (like the Low profile Crossed roller guide model) can have resolution of 1 µm. Integrated Controller and Driver unit is also provided.

Nano Servo Stages
Nano Servo Stage (or Piezoelectric stage) is a precise micro motion stage employing piezoelectric element as its drive. Closed Loop Control is facilitated by connecting a displacement sensor, the nano servo stage and the nano servo controller. The nano servo stage combined with manual or motorized precision stages can broaden various precise positioning applications.

These stages are available in 3 types, the high precision type (Stroke: 15 µm Resolution: 2.5 nm), the long stroke type (Stroke: up to 500 µm) and the XY unit. Customizations can also be done like changing the number of axes, load capacity, stroke, etc.

Optics
Suruga Seiki offers a full lineup of optics such as lens, mirror and polarizer, etc that are essential for optical experiments and construction of optical equipment. There is a wide variety of sizes and configurations from which the user can choose the appropriate component. Customized requirement is also fulfilled by Suruga.
