Surface area analyser

Smart Instruments Co manufactures surface area analyser, a totally indigenous model with international quality. The instrument measures the surface area of powders using single point, dynamic BET principle. The instrument conforms ASTM D-3037, ISO S4652, IS 877, and 2752 standards. It can also be used for measuring pore volume using different accessories. Hydrogen chemisorption and dispersion, temperature programmed reduction and desorption is also possible with additional accessory. The instrument covers a wide range from 0.1 m2/gm to 1000 m2/gm, which can be extended to 1500 m2/gm. The advantages of this analyser over the old models are, easy to operate, faster (15 min per sample), highly accurate and low cost. The company also offers the computerised version of this, which gives a hard copy of results. The Windows-based software is user-friendly which guides the operator at every step. The instrument is useful for R&D, quality and process control of catalysts and adsorbents, fillers for rubber industries such as zinc oxide, silica, cement industries, ceramics and refractories, fillers for dry batteries, pigments for paints, powdered pharmaceutical drugs, etc.
