Spark Plug Cleaner & Tester

Supertech Power Control offers a STPC brand spark plug cleaner and tester. This is fully enclosed in FRP body, with different rubber adapters for cleaning and testing of various plugs like M10, M12, M14 and M18. Cleaning of dusted spark plug: The cleaner unit with special sand connected to the compressed air system operates at minimum pressure of 5 kg/cm? to maximum 10 kg/cm². With the protective shield in the cleaner unit in place, the unit has to be operated as specified to complete the cleaning cycle. Checking the plug performance: the unit is supplied with M10, M12, M14 and M18 blind plugs with air screw fixed over the respective plug adopters. The spark plugs to be checked, depending upon the thread size, are fixed over the respective plug adopters by removing the blind plug and air screw. After that the HT cable clip is fixed over the spark plug and supply turned On. Please note that power supply should be given to the unit only after fixing the HT cable-clip depending upon the gap of the spark plug, there are three ranges in the indicator-dial which are green, yellow and red. Before operating the unit align the red mark in the pressure gauge dial with spark plug gap, which is also mention ed in the pressure gauge dial. Now press the press switch and observe the spark. If it is bright the plug is in good condition if the sparking is dim or no spark is found, reduce the pressure to yellow range and repeat the above operation. During testing of spark plug if there is any jump of spark over the insulated porcelain portion, the plug should be condemned.
