Precision Diameter Tapes

Mehta Doshi & Co offers Precision Diameter Tapes. These dia tape gages are manufactured in temperature controlled facilities at 68ºF (20ºC) under 5 pounds, (2.25 kg) tension and ID tapes at 0 pounds (0 kg) tension. Standard tapes have graduations and numerals that are engraved and acid etched on a ground surface. The tape has a fixed reading that does not require periodic adjustments. English reading tapes read to .001” diameter. Accuracy of standard tapes ±.001” up to 144”. Metric reading tapes read to 0.01 mm diameter. Accuracy of standard tapes ±0.03 mm to 3600 mm. Calibration performed in accordance with ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994, ISO/IEC guide 25 and Mil-Standard 45662A. Special design tapes can be made to suit requirements: tension scales available for use with dia tape gages, extra graduations, longer tapes (reels available for many sizes), wider or narrower tapes, tapes calibrated for direct reading of inside diameters, tapes with Go and No-Go calibrations for inspection or production departments, and stainless steel dia tape gages – diameters up to 108”, in the following width – ¼” gage member with ½” body. For low light environments, the company offers two EZ-Read styles: white EZ-read – d ark lines with white background (best for small diameters, not for use with chemicals); and Blue EZ-read – white lines with dark blue background (best for large diameters. These are more delicate than standard tapes, not for use with chemicals).
