Standard capacities of the TEC-14 include 12" x 6" (305 x 152 mm) manual or power-operated travel range and a 5" x 20" (127 x 508 mm) table surface. The comparator uses precision optics with the company"s patented telecentric design to produce sharp, flat images true to size at all magnifications from 5X to 100X, says the company. Its 14" (355 mm) ground glass, front-receiving screen is lit by tungsten halogen profile projection, with mercury arc illumination optionally available. Chart rotation of 360 degrees with 1 minute vernier is standard. QC-1000 and Quadra-chek 2000 digital readouts are offered with 0.00005" (0.001 mm) resolution linear glass scales. RS232 communications capabilitity for data collection is standard. The comparator can be equipped with additional features such as surface illumination, geometric computational digital readout and internal edge sensing as options.
