On-Line Measurement Of Moisture In Solids

Elan 6711 Microwave moisture monitor is for nonmetallic solids and powders. It is a full span moisture monitor equipped with one piece reflectance type sensor which has unique deep product penetration through low energy microwave. The returned signals are transmitted to the instrument's microprocessor based controller to provide analogue 4-20 mA DC signal and digital RS:232 signal for 0% to 100% range. The sensor and the monitor, housed in fibre glass (NEMA-4X) water type enclosures, carry dual alarm and set point, LED indicator for indication of out of tolerance conditions, 2-line LCD readout for current measurement value, set point as well as tolerance and configuration values. The monitor with set pi)int controller offers selectable moisture averaging and detection of successive peaks to eliminate errors caused by floppy webs and uneven bulk materials. The monitor can be installed in a convenient location for operation and view.
