Non-Destructive Testing Of Metal Workpieces

AMS offers customer-specific systems for non-destructive testing and quality control of metal workpieces, on the basis of highly sensitive magneto-sensoric measurements. This contactless method allows the precise detection of material defects on and below the material surface (up to a few centimetres in penetration depth). Defects are evaluated automatically according to clearly defined criteria. The method can also be applied to non-magnetic materials. With its small dimensions and broad bandwidth the sensor system can be easily integrated into industrial production lines. Thus, 100 per cent online control can be achieved.
