Moisture Meter With Lab Accuracy

Zeltex Inc, a leading US manufacturer of Near-IR analysers, has made available two improved NIR moisture meters for the food, paper, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries. The JE- 100/200 NIR portable moisture meters can be used to measure moisture in many diverse materials including ceramics, cement, adhesives, cellulose, plastics, alumina, wood and liquids from 0.05% to 45%. A key feature of these meters is the capability to measure rapid rates of change of moisture in materials that are very hygroscopic. A typical analysis can be performed in seconds without contacting or destroying the product. An internal microprocessor computes the data with lab accuracy. The data may be stored internally, transmitted via RS 232 C interface to a printer, or computer for statistical analysis. In addition, the JE-100 moisture mcter is battery operated and can be used as a monitor and controller for furnaces and ovens in the lab or at the production line. Only 3 to 20 lab-tested samples are required for a calibration. Fifty moisture calibrations can be stored within these moisture meters. Both instruments can be switched to measure moisture in different products in seconds.
