The Metal Detector, DFMD 05, produces an audio-visual alarm if the person passing through is carrying any metallic (ferrous and non ferrous) objects on him. It is used in Door frames. It also has walk and stop light indication for smooth, efficient traffic flow on the entrance panel and the user panel. It has a battery back-up system allowing the detector to operate for 5 hours even after mains failure so it can also be used as a portable detector. The modular design allows quick and simple assembly of its 4 sub-assemblies using only 4 screws and weighs only 40 kg including base. It has a bar graph display to judge the volume of metal carried and even the audio tone varies according to the mass of metal. It has user selectable sensitivity levels ranging from 0 to 9.
It is ideal for use where a high level of security is needed at the entry of any premises like airports, banks, industrial establishments, hospitals, correctional facilities, arenas, public and private buildings; schools, special events, loss prevention, nuclear facilities, transportation terminals, courthouses, corporate security, historical landmarks and many such high security areas where there is a need to check people before entering a particular place.
