Magnetic Tester For Residual Stresses

The surface residual stress state and the hardening depth are the most important quality parameters for surface-hardened components. Tensile stresses in the surface region are a frequent cause of rapid component failure under service loads. The new magnetic tester allows the fast and non-destructive determination of the residual stress state of thermally treated components.
