Givi Misure offers Linear Optical Steel Scales. It is accurate and highly reliable. It is slim and suited for small and compact machines. It is available with extra protection of four lips construction, most versatile, can withstand harsher conditions and available in any desired length. It is rugged in design and works under difficult conditions such as press brakes, etc. The reader heads of all steel scales are provided with ball bearings. The hybrid circuit inside the reader-head is calibrated with laser instruments. It is most preferred for measurements in machine tools and machineries as thermal expansion co-efficient of scales, matches with machine elements.

- Armored connecting cable without external connections. Connector inside the transducer.
- Four sealing lips made of special anti-wearing elastomer, for an excellent protection of the grating.

- Linear thermal expansion coefficient ? = 10.6 x 10-6 °C-1 suitable for the application.
- One reference index at midpoint or in different required positions.
- Wide alignment tolerances.
- In modular version for measuring lengths over 6,500 mm, or for lower measuring lengths on request.
- Full possibility to disassemble and reassemble the scale.
