Floating Carriage Micrometer

The floating carriage micrometer (FCM) is provided with non-rotating anvil type micrometer having 25 mm travel and metric graduations. The thimble of the micrometer is graduated for reading of 0.002 mm and the vernier scale facilitates direct reading of 0.0002 mm. The non-rotating feature of the micrometer anvil helps avoid twisting of the thread measuring wires or prisms. Specifications: measuring face shank diameter – 8 mm; range – 25 mm; resolution – 0.0002 mm; repeatability – 0.002 mm; and accuracy – 0.004 mm.
