Finger Gauge

Mytimasters' Engineering offers an extended finger with a probe that measures displacements on the fly. This is suitable for applications in measuring and online monitoring of the deflections of specimens like bending beams or concentricity of rotating objects or depth of cut applied to lathe tool, checking alignment errors of lathe centers, etc. The finger deflection is transferred through a single pivot on to a strain gauged flexure assembly consisting of main flexure like a bow and a cross flexure like an arrow. The displacement is linearly calibrated with the voltage output of the strain gauge bridge under excitation of 8 V DC. The output of 2 mV/V is calibrated to read the display up to 0.001 mm in a working range of 5 mm within 0.2% linearity. The over travel during measurement is protected by the safety release of the pivot that can be easily re-engaged. The finger gauge comes with a universal mount with micrometric screw adjustment and lock. A compact stand-alone microprocessor based signal conditioner with 41 digit display is available as an option which operates on 230 V, 50 Hz supply.
