Earth Resistance Tester, Clamp-on Type

Kusam-Meco has introduced a new clamp-on type Earth Resistance Tester, Model KM 1620/KM 1720, a major breakthrough in traditional grounding resistance measurement. It is widely used in the grounding resistance measurement of the power, telecommunications, meteorology, oilfield construction and as well as in the industrial and electrical equipment. KM 1620/KM 1720 in the measurement of a grounding system with loop, does not require breaking down the grounding wire, and needs no auxiliary electrode. It is safe, fast and simple in use. Both models function of easy operation, high accuracy and good adaptation of testing environment and beyond the limitation of the traditional methods and can be applied in the situation not in the range of the traditional methods. KM 1620/KM 1720 can measure the integrated value of the grounding body resistance and the grounding lead resistance. Both models do not make any type of human error like arranging the electrodes, which results in good consistency under the condition of re-testing, and are equipped with standard testing coil which can be used to do the self testing with accuracy, as well as with a long jaw, particularly suitable at places where the grounding is done using bus bar. In addition KM 1720 Earth Resistance Tester is also able to measure the leakage current and the neutral current in the grounding system. KM 1620 measurement of resistance is used to measure the loop resistance.
