Destruction-Free Determination Of Hardness & Depth

The destruction-free inspection technique Qualimax offered by C Stiefelmayer KG represents a new way for the determination of hardness and depth of hardness. The destruction-free method is based on a combination of various electromagnetic inspection procedures. The impulses emitted by the probe are influenced according to the kind of heat treatment and material used. At the end of the measuring cycle, which takes only a few fractions of a second, the characteristically changed impulses are recorded again by the probe. Further processing of these signals into the target variables of hardness and depth of hardness takes place almost simultaneously through multi-parameter linkage of the backscattered and recorded measured values.
