DC SPARK TESTERS

Kat Controls offers DC Spark Testers, Model STD-10. It is capable of performing non-destructive integrity testing on all types of insulated cables detecting pinholes, cuts, slits, bare patches, etc, in cable insulation. Models: i) Model STD-10 - 0.5 kV to 10 kV DC, with bead chain electrode; and ii) Model STD-TW-10 - 0.5 kV to 10 kV DC, with 10 pair group twinner electrode. Features: extremely sensitive fault detection; bare wire and pinhole differentiation even at the fastest wire speeds; compact construction; and digital voltmeter for accurate setting. Applications: suitable for high line speed applications up to 2500 m/min on insulating/ tandem lines, rewinding, group twinner lines.
