Crack detectors - electromagnetic portable yoke

Magnafield manufactures Magnapole ADC5, a portable electromagnetic yoke generating high intensity magnetic field between the poles when placed over a ferro-magnetic component. It operates on 230 V 50 cycles AC supply or 24 V DC battery or through a 230V AC/24V DC power pack. This simple and light weight appliance is very useful for the detection of surface and near surface cracks during maintenance/overhaul of all types of machinery in general, for cross checking of forging cracks in situ after grinding operation, for detection of cracks in welds and castings. Since the appliance is free from sparking at contact points, it is particularly useful for delicate components like dies where sparking may be injurious as is often the case with prod application. AC yoke may be used even for demagnetisation operations.
