Blue Steel Engineers offers Constant Load Durometers "SuperY2K". It is highly portable. It has special built-in device guaranteeing application of correct contact pressure, irrespective of the force applied, thus resulting in very accurate readings. It is available in both analogue and digital models and used for determination of the indentation hardness of materials like soft rubber, hard rubber, plastics, leather, graphites, bakelite and similar materials. Force is applied by a spring contained in a load cell screwed on to the body of the durometer. The springs give a specified contact pressure to the presser-foot irrespective of the operator"s hand pressure, eliminating errors in reading.
