Industrial computerised tomography (CT) is more and more becoming a universal testing technique in quality control. It used to be one of several NDT methods used for detecting defects. Nowadays, the field of use includes the exact measurement of complex geometries required, for example, for shape recording and re-engineering. Unlike optical or tactile methods CT is able to measure areas which are invisible from outside. The latest Hapeg CT plant uses a variety of CF systems.
